How to prepare your hair before selling it
Start with photos
Take clear photos in natural daylight: back view, side view, full length and ends. A tape measure in the photo helps buyers estimate length accurately.
Do not cut yet
The biggest mistake is cutting too early. Buyers need to see the hair while attached, and accepted sellers usually receive specific cutting and bundling instructions.
Wash and dry correctly
Hair should be clean, dry and free of heavy styling products. Avoid oils, sprays or masks right before photos because they can hide the natural condition.
Write down treatment history
Mention dye, bleach, keratin, perm, relaxer, frequent heat styling or extensions. A transparent history creates a better and more reliable quote.
Measure honestly
Measure stretched hair from root to tip. Minimum lengths vary by buyer, but longer hair typically earns more — especially over 40 or 50 cm.
